electric music for the mind and body

your reaching dance

Already it’s July, moments with glimpses of warmer weather, full moons in Capricorn, winds of change, a pillow of winds. Summer can feel like a very - in motion - whirlwind kind of time. Meditation, motion. I like to listen to the trees.

So much happened in June - I helped with an all-night overnight gong event for the summer solstice which was truly transformative, I highly recommend the experience. I already can’t wait for the next one in November.

The Summer Soma Sessions in June also raised £50 for The Rescue Ranch Animal Sanctuary, keeping those goats and sheep fed with bales of hay for the summer. A special thank you to Rudz for your weekly participation and donations and making the series a success! I’m really excited to be offering more online, virtual yoga and somatic meditation classes in the future, and setting up some weekly classes very soon.

I want to thank everyone who has been a part of my/our regular weekly in-person classes the past several months (you know who you are!); it has been so wonderful to meet you, share space, and an absolute joy to see your transformation through your practice (thank you to Cristina for saying my classes were like ‘a butterfly’ - I love that description). Keep exploring and creating a nurturing space for yourselves and those you care about. Find your reaching dance!

Daria Halprin, The San Francisco Dancers Workshop, in the film Revolution (1968)

“It’s not an easy thing to be embodied. We keep losing ourselves. We need our ‘body’ to re-find, to own ourselves. How can we become choreographers of our own lives? How can your movement become your teacher? I want to give movement back to people, here’s your movement back to you, take it back.

Your ‘reaching dance.”
